Carhartt gave me the opportunity to write descriptions for over 150 products in their workwear range. Below are a few of my favourites. I’m very thankful they allowed me to add a little Carhartt confidence to the otherwise uninspiring world of product features.
Hold up your pants, Carhartt style. With the full grain, waxed bridle leather Jean Belt with saddle stitching. The Carhartt logo is engraved on the metal keeper. It’s going to hold up your pants longer than your pants can hold together. Unless they’re Carhartt too. Then it’s going to be a tie.
One of our most iconic products. The Carhartt Chore Coat was introduced in 1917, meaning it’s been with us for over a century. All we did was add a corduroy collar in 1939 and keep updating the design with the latest technologies. Other than that this is the same durable, blanket lined, 12 ounce cotton duck coat your father’s father’s father was wearing.
The same durable Duck fabric we use on some of our most classic jackets. Wind resistant, water repellent and tough enough to stand years of daily use and rough conditions. Comfortable, sturdy, and with a washable outer shell. We’d hate to say it, but it’s probably going to last a couple of dogs.
Still wearing a coat over your hooded jumper? Amateur. Our Rain Defender® Rutland Zip up Sweatshirt is water repellent so the rain will roll right off you. A 12 ounce 50/50 cotton/poly blend is tough and comfortable, and thermal-lined to retain extra warmth. When the going gets tough, the tough flip up their three-piece hoodie, look up at the sky, and say “Bring it, baby.”

A simple product that does what it’s supposed to. A one size, fits all in a large variety of colors so there’s one for everyone. Or for every outfit.
Look as good as you are tough. This 12-ounce, 100% cotton sandstone duck jacket is wind resistant, water repellent, and sherpa lined for beating the cold. A bi-swing back provides ease of movement and a three-piece sherpa-lined hood will keep you extra warm if you have to keep going when the wind starts blowing.
